Business Trip to Bucharest

I knew the previous riddle was way too easy for such a smart audience :) . Well, this one should prove a little more challenging. Good luck!

Three business men on adjacent seats in a plane.

The one sitting near the window calls the flight attendant, and says to her:

“This gentleman here,” discreetly pointing to the man sitting next to him, “isn’t feeling well. Would you ask your male colleague to assist him to the three free seats over there, so he can lie down?”

“Sure, sir, right away,” says the flight attendant, and off she goes.

The business man sitting near the aisle smiles as the male flight attendant arrives and talks in French to the man who wasn’t well, then takes him to lie down on the free seats.

What really happened? Why was the man smiling?
