Before embarking on this challenge, I’d like to remind our dear friends who didn’t read the About page that the purpose isn’t really to guess the correct riddle answer, but to relax and find the child in ourselves, feel the joy and be happy.
Children are too busy using me to even notice me. Parents are too busy not using me, but they do notice me in their children, and they wonder when they lost me. They didn’t really lose me, they just don’t have time to look for me. They sometimes find me when they become grandparents.

Happiness?
hi…nice riddle. =) my answer is the child in us ….God bless!
imagination?
using…I’m going to say sense of humor
I’ll say Childishness!
Why?
Children
They themselves are just too childish to notice how childish they are.
Parents
Too busy earning moolah for their children. No time to be childish themselves. Observes their children, notices how Childish their Children are.
Grand Parents
No longer actively working hard for moolah. Spends more time with Children. Spending much time together with Children, brings out the child within them.
They find great joy in being childish, being a child again.
imagination would be my guess if not that then creativety
detstvo
A lot of good answers here. Some are correct (i.e. they are what the riddle maker has in mind).
@acelasi: you served another riddle for answer, which I cracked: detstvo is a movie translated as Ivan’s Childhood in some places, so your answer probably means Childhood. I like you
