Aye, dear friends, noelevz was the one who cracked the previous riddle. Congratulations, it was indeed the solar eclipse.

Animals must be better astronomers than us humans, because they display strange behavior starting about half an hour before the eclipse actually begins, and I never saw a horse looking through a telescope.
