OK so the Frankenstein riddle is too difficult for the regular geeks? :) It is still unsolved after many days. (edit: was solved by Mika)

Today, friends, an easier one.

Look through me and you can see far away places.
Step through me and you can reach the far away places.

Glass? Lenses of a telescope for seeing far away places, and a glass mirror for visiting far away places. :)

Cornelia, you correctly interpreted all the clues, yes it is the wormhole. A traversable wormhole, to be more precise. Congratulations, your astronomy background is starting to pay off :)
