The Dark Mistery from the Misty Beach

Surprisingly, the previous riddle which I considered quite easy wasn’t solved. Well, this one is a tough one that only some of the initiated might be able to tackle ;) . Post your answer in the comments, and good luck!

The Moon was rising full and bright
Behind the clouds of blue and white.
The Sun was long set in the sea
As on the beach I have my tea.

I see my old friend comes along
And in his hand his fishing rod.
“Sit down old friend, let’s have a tea!”
“I would advise that you should leave!”

Soon, I am running for my life,
Away from beach, away from tide,
And so do all who heard the chat.
Why are we all running like that?

I would be tempted to say that they were running from the tsunami ….. but I am sure they are running to the bar to catch some alcohool and chicks.

Probably because the moon was rising… There would be nowhere to run though…Seems pointless, I’d enjoy my tea.

It’s either that or you didn’t have any Splenda which would make me run.

I’ve been working on this for half an hour now, and my brain hurts. I’ll have to come back to it. :-) Good one!

Is it something to do with his fishing rod? or what he’s been catching with it?

Just a thought

Is it implied that the full moon is rising over the sea? Because you can’t watch the sun set in the sea and then have a full moon rise out of the sea. If that happened, something very bad might be going on.
